Powtech’s investor, China Resources Microelectronics (HKEX 0597), had total capital of four billion RMB Yuan and revenue of two billion RMB Yuan in 2007. It is the only enterprise in
China that owns facilities covering a complete flow of IC development including design, mask making, wafer processing, wafer sorting, packaging, and final testing. Innovation is the core tenet of Powtech’s corporate culture. We stress intellectual property protection, having applied for 12 patents and 11 layout protection registration in the four years since the establishment of the company. In the area of power management, Powtech has an extensive set of product lines including buck, boost, synchronous and asynchronous DC-DC converters, LDO regulators, battery chargers, and AC-DC controllers. We can provide comprehensive power management solutions to fit any customer’s need. LED drivers are our most important product line. Our LED backlight products cover the serial, parallel and constant current sink topologies, which are applicable in small devices such as cell phones and MP3s, medium devices such as digital cameras and digital photo frames, as well as large devices such as laptops and LED monitors. Since 2006, the company has focused on the LED lighting area and has successfully developed the PT4105, a 3W white LED driver. It was the first reliable, high performance high-brightness white LED driver product in
China, and one of the few in the world too. With its excellent performance and simple application topology, the PT4105 was well received by customers. Following the success of the PT4115, Powtech introduced a series of high-brightness LED driver products and continues to be a domestic leader in this field. In the audio amplifier area, the company has always been at the forefront of the domestic industry. In 2005, we launched high-performance single channel and dual class AB amplifiers, and in 2007, we introduced a number of cutting-edge, single and dual class D audio power amplifier products.
